Medium
Folders
MF means Medium Folder.
It is positioned between the BF series (basic folder) and the Heavy
Folder series (MPC, Nemesis, Fulcrum II and Rao).
All MF knives are equipped with a rear glassbreaker.
The double screw enables the opening regulation strength.
The main characteristic of the MF2 is the sub hilt which makes the grip
extremely stable,
and avoids slippage of the hand on the blade.
The blade guard enables a fast opening when pushing it with the
forefinger of the holding hand. (semi-assisted opening).
All details of the MF series are also valid for MF1 with a particular
difference to the MF1 BC version (Belt Cutter) which has a rear belt
cutter with industrial cutter blade that can be easily bought on the
market and replaced. It comes with a builtin screwdriver in order to
regulate and calibrate the fire arm optics.
The circular milling on their handle makes it easier to change the grip
position from saber to reverse grip.
The clip is reversable.
MF0 is the
"little" version of the MF series and is basically the compact version
of MF2.
It mantains all the MF2 characteristics with the exception of the
handle, which is reduced to the minimum length.
The blade is shortened making it similar to our Shrapnel "back up"
knife.
The MF1 apply for all notes of
the MF
In addition, the BC version (belt cutter)
presents tagliacinture back (usually used by police to remove, cuts,
now commonly used plastic handcuffs to tie, thus avoiding the risk of
hurting the handcuffed) with blade cutter industrial easily
available and replaceable, and a screwdriver lodged internally and
allows the adjustment and calibration of optical gunshot.
The first automatic knife manufactured by Extrema Ratio and it’s
derived from the MF series (Medium Folders).
The Full Auto is operated by a new system developed for the second
generation RES and POLICE knives, whereas the system is adopted for the
nylon/cloth/rope/wire cutting blade.
This spring operated mechanism is an evolution of the former one as,
contrary to its predecessors,
it guarantees to operate in a “dry” mode that is, with no need for
lubricant whatsoever.
It fits for operations in hostile environments whereas the oils tend to
mix with soils and dust thus creating
jamming and failing to operate dependably.
The automatic opening feature makes it a great companion to the
standard MF1 knife of which it retains all of the measures and shape.
It comes with a belt clip and glass breaker tip.
All details of MF series are also valid for MF2.
